CHM has been providing pre-planning/development services behind what promises to be one of Boston’s most exciting and highly regarded hotel projects. This $230 million mixed-use project is planned to be developed on a prime site in Boston’s Theater District, across from the famed Wang Center for the Performing Arts, proximate to Boston’s Public Gardens, Back Bay and Financial districts. The property will be operated by Starwood and will represent the first W Hotel in the Boston market. Slated to open in 2009, the hotel will feature 235 guestrooms, 123 luxury condominium residences and supporting retail, restaurant, lounge, fitness center and spa. CHM’s staff has worked closely with the developer and assisted in the conceptual programming, including unit mix, sizing and pricing, entitlement process, hotel operator selection and contract negotiation, and communication with the public and private sector. CHM is now providing pre-opening planning and asset management services, posturing for the hotel’s construction, pre-opening sales efforts and eventual opening.
